In just a few seasons of being in the league, Highland Oaks accumulated 58 team records touchdowns(22 in the post season. His postseason effort was also one to remember, as he posted four consecutive 100-yard games and scored an MFL-record eight touchdowns (all on the ground) to lead the Coral Gable Grizzlies to its first ever Championship in 1997. Oaks also added his third Players Pro Bowl appearance to his resume, as well as earning numerous individual awards, including MFL Championship Bowl 1997 MVP honors. Oaks was drafted by the Coral Gables Grizzlies 96th overall in the third round of the 1995 MFL Draft. As a Newark Oiler, Highland continues to be a great running back, racking up awards and honors.
